2024 Ring Master Fly-A-Thon

Start Date & Time

Come join us this weekend, October 5th and 6th for the Annual World Wide Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon.

This is a control-line plane flying event and is held in the Helicopter/Control Line area in the south-west area of the Stetson Flyers field. RC flying off the main runway won’t be affected. If there are no RC flyers using the main runway, the control-line organizers may set up a second circle on the main runway, but it will be removed at a moment's notice when RC flyers arrive

  • Start times
    • Electric Ringmasters start at Dawn.
    • Glow Ringmasters start at 0900h.
  • Basic Ringmaster trainers and instruction are available to try. No control line experience is needed!  Anyone wanting to give control-line flying a try, is welcome. Just approach Brian Pepin or Peter Wakefield and let them know.
  • Lots of fun for all ages!

Also, come see the two Ringmasters dueling it out in the circle. Charlie and Mark, are you up for a re-match? We haven't seen this type of action since 2021! We have the pit crews ready to assist.

2024 Giant All Scale Fun Fly Event Report

Event Date

On Saturday August 24th, Stetson RC Flyers held our Scale event. Traditionally, this event was strictly for giant scale aircraft but this year we opened it up to scale aircraft any size. It had a bit of a confusing name but it seems to have worked, this year.

2024 Ed Rae Fun Fly Event Report

Event Date

It was an unseasonably cool and blustery morning, although a much better upgrade from the weather a week before. As I arrived at the field with my cup of Timmie’s in hand, I saw our stalwart, ever-present president already at our field and getting things set up.
